About FatKidzFF
From newspaper box scores to a fantasy-football engine.
FatKidzFF didn't begin in a boardroom, with investors, or as another copy of an existing fantasy site.
It began in the early 1990s — before fantasy apps, live scoring, and instant player alerts — when calculating fantasy points meant opening a newspaper, finding the box scores, and doing the math yourself.
I've been playing fantasy football ever since.
For more than 35 years, I've studied players, built teams, argued trades, won leagues, lost leagues, and watched fantasy analysis evolve from newspaper statistics into an industry dominated by rankings, projections, algorithms, and hype.
Throughout that entire time, I always wanted to create my own fantasy-football platform.
Why Build Another Trade Calculator?
The first FatKidzFF tool is a Trade Calculator because I got tired of seeing player values driven more by hype, name recognition, and popular opinion than actual production.
A player shouldn't automatically carry more value just because everyone is talking about him.
Potential matters. But so do performance, opportunity, consistency, roster construction, league format, age, position, and what a player is actually contributing to a fantasy team.
That frustration became the foundation for the FatKidzFF valuation engine.
The engine is built around real statistics and measurable data — not gut feelings disguised as analysis.
It isn't perfect, and I won't pretend any fantasy-football formula ever will be. Player values change. Situations change. Football remains unpredictable.
The goal is to keep improving the engine until it becomes one of the most useful and dependable decision-making tools available to fantasy managers.
The concepts behind it have been developing for years. In 2026, I finally had the time and ability to take everything that had been sitting in my head — and on scattered pieces of paper — and turn it into a working system.
The FatKidz Story
The FatKidz name has history too.
Years ago, fellow FatKid Larry and I connected through fantasy football.
We will probably always argue over which one of us originally came up with “FatKid,” but my version always had its own twist:
FatKidz — with a Z.
Long before this website existed, I created a mock-up dynasty fantasy-football league on an old-ass PC. Years later, I found it still sitting on an old hard drive.
Seeing it again made me wonder what it might have become if I had taken it further.
At the time, the cost of building something serious made that nearly impossible, so life continued.
Larry and I kept playing in each other's leagues, talking fantasy football, debating players and trades, and imagining the ultimate dynasty league, YouTube channel, or podcast.
More than 20 years later, we're still close — and now we're even neighbors.
Larry hasn't seen the completed FatKidzFF launch yet. I've been grinding through the build myself, but I couldn't leave him entirely behind.
There will always be a seat waiting for his FatKid ass if he decides to help take this thing to the next level.
What FatKidzFF Is Becoming
The Trade Calculator is only the beginning.
FatKidzFF is being built into a larger fantasy-football platform featuring an advanced Trade Calculator and a complete Dynasty War Room designed to help managers evaluate players, compare assets, manage rosters, plan for the future, and make better decisions throughout the season.
Future possibilities include original dynasty leagues, podcasts, video content, community features, and whatever else makes sense as FatKidzFF grows.
Nothing here is built around pretending we can predict every breakout, injury, depth-chart change, or bad coaching decision.
The mission is simpler:
Use real data. Measure actual value. Cut through the hype. Help fantasy managers make smarter decisions.
The Beginning
After 35 years of fantasy football — and years of wanting to build something of my own — FatKidzFF is finally here.
The first release is straightforward:
A no-bullshit, fuck-your-feelings Trade Calculator built to challenge hype with data.
The engine will continue to evolve. New tools will follow. The Dynasty War Room is already being built behind the scenes.
So don't hold your breath waiting for perfection.
Hold your trades until you run them through FatKidzFF.
